Pat is the Founder and President of Hamel Associates. He’s spent his career, spanning over 30 years, assisting senior corporate executives and middle managers in meeting their financial goals and objectives.
Prior to establishing the firm, Pat held senior positions in the personal financial planning groups at Bank of America and Price Waterhouse. There, he was a member of the leadership team of the Price Waterhouse Investment Advisors—the first affiliate of a major accounting firm to register with the Security and Exchange Commission as an investment advisor.
In addition to consulting with senior executives, Pat has conducted hundreds of seminars to groups of employees of major corporations including AT&T, Bank of America, Chevron, and International Business Machines.
Pat is a Certified Public Accountant and holds an undergraduate degree in accounting from Brooklyn College and a master’s degree in taxation from Long Island University. He has been named to the list of top financial planners in the country by Worth Magazine. Pat’s opinions have been expressed in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Investor’s Business Daily and Bloomberg Businessweek.
Pat and his wife Betty live in Livingston, New Jersey and have three grown sons.
