Christine Wood
Chris has been a tax specialist at Hamel Associates since she joined the firm in 2004. In this role, she is involved in some of the more complex compliance issues handled by our firm. These include foreign reporting, charitable trusts, and private foundations.
Prior to joining Hamel Associates, Chris worked in public accounting for over 17 years in the tax department of two mid-size firms. She began her career in the tax department of a Dallas firm where she gained experience in oil and gas and real estate taxation. Chris later became a tax manager of a St. Louis firm specializing in individual and small business taxation.
She earned a B.S. in Accountancy from the University of Evansville. Chris is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Missouri Society of CPAs.
Chris resides in Webster Groves, Missouri with her husband and three children.
